Our Mission

Our mission at New Life is to help people become fully devoted followers of Christ. This mission is based on Christ’s words to his disciples in Matthew 28:18-20:

18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

We believe it is vital to carry out the mission of making disciples that our risen Lord has given us. Now, how do we as a church go about accomplishing our mission? We thought the three words Connect, Grow, and Serve make simple to remember how we together make disciples.

Connect with God

The first step in becoming a follower of Christ is connecting with God by trusting His Son Jesus Christ as Savior. A disciple of Christ will then be able to connect with God through personal worship and worship together with the church. At New Life, our worship service is one way you can connect with God.

Connect with One Another

God has made us to need one another, so it is vital that followers of Christ connect with one another. We need the encouragement that comes from fellowship together. At New Life we have many opportunities to connect with one another.

Grow

Followers of Christ are not saved to stay where they are, but to grow up to become more like Jesus. Christians grow by reading God’s Word, prayer, and dependence on the Holy Spirit. New Life has Bible studies and small groups to help you grow.

Serve One Another

A follower of Christ will be looking for ways to serve others. The church grows together as the members serve one another. Believers can serve one another in their homes, and opportunities abound in the church to minister to one another.

Serve the World

A growing disciple of Christ will serve the world by sharing the gospel so others can follow Christ. The gospel message does not change, but there are many avenues through which to share it. Whether it be outreach in our community or missions trips, we want to world to  hear the good news about Jesus Christ.
