Judy, Pastor Mark, Jason, Chelsea,  Josh and Michael  

Pastor Mark is the senior and founding pastor of New Life Baptist Church. Pastor Mark served for over 18 years as a missionary church planter with the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) whose headquarters are in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Pastor Mark and his wife Judy have served in this ministry both overseas (Hong Kong) and in the United States (Indiana, Michigan and Illinois). Mark and Judy have three sons (Josh, Jason and Michael) and live in Lake in the Hills, Illinois. Their oldest son Josh is married to Chelsea; they now live in Southern California.

As of January 1, 2008, Pastor Mark resigned his position with ABWE to become the first fully-supported senior pastor of New Life Baptist Church. He was called to this post by a unanimous vote of the church congregation.

Pastor Mark is assisted in ministry by six Deacons as well as other members of the church membership.

Jonathan Colby joined the staff of New Life Baptist Church for a one-year pastoral internship in June 2011. As an intern he will be learning from Pastor Mark and assisting him in the church ministries. He and his wife Emily have been members of New Life since 2009 and have served in various ministries of the church, including leading music and teaching.

Since graduating from Baptist Bible College in 2008, Jonathan has spent the last three years pursuing a graduate degree in the Old Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Jonathan and Emily live in Algonquin, Illinois.
